INTRODUCING THE DEBUT SINGLE FROM NATHAN CARTER      `THE GAMES PEOPLE PLAY It’s hard to believe that it’s forty years, since Joe South crashed into the ‘Top Ten’, with an original composition, ‘The  Games People Play’. In fact, Joe’s self penned recording won the ‘Song of the Year’ Grammy Award, in 1970, and was considered to be one  of the `classic` songs of that era, becoming hugely popular with music fans of all genres........... .  So the time seems right, for Nathan Carter to give the song a new, fresh, twenty first century sound, and this is exactly  what he has done.    The song itself gives a positive message, which never dates.    Though on a different level, Nathan Carter`s new, up tempo version is also just  a really good ‘toe tapping’ number.    Trust me.  You’ll be hearing this one a lot, on your radios, from now  on..............   Nathan, who’s folks originally hail from Newry, has been travelling over to  Ireland from Liverpool to perform here on short tours, over the last couple of  years.   Now the popularity of this handsome young man, has grown so much in recent  times, [especially with the Irish ladies!], that he has decided to return  permanently to Ireland to launch his new Band !.    Nathan is recording a new album  for release in the new year, and arranging  a  top class group of musicians to accompany Nathan on the road, including  well  respected names such as -  Musical Director Jim McVeigh - piano/  keyboards/accordion and Matt Curran, lead guitar/steel guitar/saxophone- and  the band will be launched in early 2010 as the Nathan Carter Band.  Nathan sings, at one point in the song, ”Come on and get on board”.  That’s the advice I would also give.  Don’t be left behind.
